Swimming with Gentle Giants- Tour 7: Curious Calves & Mothers
On our website on the tour pages and on the FAQ's and throughout checklist it is clear that it is shared accommodation. I believe all this information was provided. there are only 2 airlines to get to Tonga and we recommended Fiji Airways. My understanding was that you had not booked your flight until the last minute which contributed to your negative experience. please note we dont make any recommendation for the airlines, only what airlines fly to Tonga. so your statement is not correct. we are always happy to help but your review is not accurate or a reflection of our 25 year reputation. we are glad you enjoyed the Tour nonetheless.

(don't tell Grant this rating, I was telling him 5 out of 10 :-) ) I really enjoyed this trip. I arrived on a Saturday so that I could explore the island before the tour started and to scuba dive. I made arrangements to pick up an e-bike on Sunday and travelled around site-seeing. Based upon online research, I found several sites to check out (a cave, Lucky Beach, climbing steep steps up a hill and general scenery). Alas, I found these unspectacular. Where this could have been my grumpy day, if this could have been improved that would have been good. We had amazing whale encounters and great snorkelling experiences. Grant was very helpful. On a couple of days, we had somewhat challenging snorkelling conditions and I am glad that he was not over protective. All hopped in the water to enjoy the show. Other times Grant organised scuba diving trips for me. Riki Tiki was good but note he did not check my paper work and he does not use a dive computer. Our 1st dive was the wreck in the lagoon at 28m depth. I went 2min into deco based upon my shearwater computer - this cleared during assent at 6m depth. I felt that even though more expensive, Tongan Beach resort checked paperwork and brought me to better dive sites. The accommodation was comfortable and the food provided by SWGG good (catering for keto diet was hit or miss). I often experienced difficulty in getting to the markets to buy vegetables and never got to the fish market in time.
